About Assembly For Human Rights

Our Mission

On December 10th, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly gathered in Paris and produced the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This groundbreaking document laid out a list of basic human rights that all of humanity is entitled to, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. It proclaimed that rights such as life, liberty, security, freedom, legal protection, property ownership, religious belief, and governmental representation were fundamental to human existence and should be protected by all nations. Unfortunately, we live in a world where many people do not have the resources to speak up when their basic human rights have been violated. The Assembly for Human Rights exists to help those voices be heard.

We currently emphasize issues pertaining to human rights violations in India.
