Adivasi: India's Indigenous People

The Adivasi Under Attack

The Adivasi represent one of the world’s oldest indigenous people groups. The name comes from two ancient Sanskrit words that form a compound word meaning “original dweller”.

In recent years, corporate industrialists, backed by the Indian Government, have stolen Adivasi land and pillaged its people and resources.
